龍/ryuu/dragonPosted by e. (New York, NY, United States) on 22 April 2008 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio. There was a small shrine in the caverns under Sandan-peki. In Japan, before you enter a shrine/temple, you must wash your hands and your mouth. For that purpose, temples provide a well for you. Oftentimes, the spout from which the water comes from is in the form of a dragon. More on Japanese prayer ritual to come. :) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are only two ways to live your life. Nice capture by the way. 22 Apr 2008 3:14pm @Rabbit: You actually have to clean your mouth. You take a little bit in, swish it around, and discretely spit it out on the side. amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaNow that's a spigot!! Wonderful shot, e.!
