burning wishes

My mom and godmother took me to a Taiwanese opera, which I didn't manage to capture because I felt it would be rude to the performers to hear clicking come from the audience. We arrived a little early though, and since the opera house was in Ximen Ding, a popular shopping center, we wandered around a little. They went to visit the shrine that they apparently always stopped by when they were little. It was a beautiful small shrine that managed to keep its charm and antiquity amidst the bustling and booming commercial center of Taipei. They had the some of the most beautiful prayer candles I had ever seen, so I couldn't resist snapping off a shot.

The candles are indeed beautiful, great atmposphere! BTW our modern cameras have a fake "click" sound, you can put it off (the only disadvantage of turning the click off is that you don't hear anymore that the shot is taken).

@Illuci: Well, I turned off the beep on my camera, but the shutter sound is still there. Is there actually a way to turn it off? I asked around and everyone said it was unavoidable. If you know the cure, you'll be my hero.

Cool shot, great lighting. It does depend on the kind of camera you have, some have a shutter sound no matter what, but some can be turned off. Check your manual!
