modern vs. ancient

I didn't know this, but the tree shown in this photo is the oldest one on Dunhua Road for a large stretch. It's a major arterial road through Taipei, so a lot of trees had been cut down in favor of expanding to fit more buildings and shops. This one miraculously escaped all of that.

wow,nice contrast!But sadly,i think this tree wont survive long,mankind is too cruel,developing their own interests too fast too soon to let the tree stay there for good..maybe i am pessimistic!:p
