A friend's favorite pair of sandals, the weird thing about them, is that one is worn, and the other looks new. Strange much?

Excellent contrast between wooden floor and the shiny colors of the sandals. As for the new/worn problem: I think it's a matter of light and shadow, the light wipes out the dark stains on the "new" one I think.
