graffiti day 1

Posted by e. (New York, NY, United States) on 17 November 2007 in Art & Design.

Well, I looked, and I looked, and apparently, Washington DC isn't very conducive to graffiti. And what little I saw didn't quite inspire me. But I was determined to participate. So I've pulled some old photos. These aren't graffiti in the normal sense, but rather a sort of... transient air graffiti. Forgive me for the rather large stretch of imagination. Also forgive the graininess, it was dark in there.

So here is my first graffiti image, otherwise known as, "Watch out, it's going to eat you!"

Very cool. Graffiti is by its nature almost always transient art and this takes that aspect of it to an extreme...

Good interpretation of the theme. We get crackdowns here too, but it doesn't take long for the graffiti artists to return to their haunts.
