3d mini golf

Posted by e. (New York, NY, United States) on 17 October 2007 in Sport & Recreation.

This mini golf place at Virginia Beach was very cool. It was in the dark, with glow in the dark paint on the walls with underwater sea images. Once inside, we were given 3D glasses, so that it seemed like we were walking around under the sea with fish and everything popping out at us. It was rather disorienting, because a lot of things seemed a lot closer or farther than they actually were. Liz ended up swinging around her putter a lot to see exactly how far things were and would accidentally bang the putter against a rock because she didn't realize it was so close.

Is this shot with the 3d glass in front of the camera or just a plain shot?

17 Oct 2007 7:00am

@Shuva Brata Deb: Just a plain shot. I tried taking it through the glasses, but it didn't work. It was actually already a pain to get a clean shot since it was so dark in there and flash wouldn't have worked.

Bizarre; I'd thought Florida was the goofy golf capitol of the world -- but you no doubt have proven me wrong. Never ran across a 3-d version around these parts. Cool, cool, cool photo!

This is super cool e. and you know the funny thing, when I went to my blog this morning I realise that I didn't like the photo that much it needed more work, so I put one up that's unusual but that I really like...it kinda has a water theme like yours, check it out LOL
(ps unfortunately I lost your comment and Tyan's)

Wow! this is a cool image, did you take it throught the 3D glasses?

17 Oct 2007 5:28pm

@MaryB: No, I wish. It didn't work as well as I thought it would, and the shot just got really really blurry because I had only one hand to steady the camera.

You should have put this picture in the surrealistic category, it's like dream and the last thing one thinks about when seeing this is minigolf! Must be great to experience this!
