columnsPosted by e. (New York, NY, United States) on 11 October 2007 in Architecture. I had never been in here before, but I was helping to set up a business school fair in there. Outside, it looks rather grand, old, and pretty, pretty much like many building in the DC area. But once I walked inside, the interior was beautiful. Columns rose up and lined the walls of a large space that boasted a fountain and a large floor area that has previously been booked for several functions and events. I highly recommend that anyone go to this museum, just to admire the beauty of it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are only two ways to live your life. I like the colour combination of pale blue and ochre. 11 Oct 2007 11:52am @Illuci: Yeah, it's really quite a sight to behold. A lot of really important functions rent the space out because of the majesty and beauty of the building. So it's really just a matter of actually getting here. Amir from ?, IranThe building is Medieval in style. Very nice. Little highlight clipping at top windows. 11 Oct 2007 4:16pm Rabbit from Richmond, United StatesYeah those are really pretty columns - i believe this is called Corinthian style (something i learned in art class) hopefully thats correct so i can make my professor proud. 11 Oct 2007 5:36pm @Rabbit: Haha, your professor would be proud, because these are Corinthian. :) Good memory. Is this some sort of hotel? 6 Nov 2007 1:21am |
